Together We: observe, nurture creativity, foster conversations, reject boundaries, ask challenging questions of ourselves and others, create meaningful art.

This project, made possible through the Chancellor Faculty Fellowship that Barth received, enables Barth to collaborate with inspirational colleagues worldwide, presenting concerts and creating recordings that showcase a thriving sense of humanity expressed through the Arts.

  • October 2024: “Venezuelan Voices in Oregon” DuoKrom benefit concert

  • January-February 2025: AI opera “Lexia” premiere: climate catastrophe and extraordinary transformation by Scott Deal

  • April 2025: recording with Blair jazz band

  • June 2025: video recording: Pickett CCC State Park

  • July 2025: NYU summer course: leadership and the Arts

  • Spring 2026: collaborations with Nashville creatives Rod McGaha, Ciona Rouse, Dashon Burton, Lain York, Kaitlyn Raitz, Keshia Hay, Minton Sparks, LeXander Bryant, Phillip Patti

  • Spring 2026: premieres of works by Stephen Jaffe and Mary Kouyoumdjian with basso Peter Kolkay

  • October 2026 Zohn Collective premiere of new work by Finnish composer Ilari Kaila

  • Collaborations with invited guests to the Vanderbilt University Blair School of Music: activist musician Adam Sadberry, Baroque flutist/singer Emi Ferguson, jazz artist Kim Scott
