Together We faculty flute recital
The Blair Master Series performance titled “Together We” will feature Grammy-winning flutist Molly Barth with faculty members Felix Wang and Heather Conner performing powerful and theatrical music of George Crumb, Olivier Messiaen, and Sofia Gibaidulina on Sunday, September 14, 2025, 2:30 p.m., in Turner Recital Hall. Solo flute works by Claude Debussy and Toru Takemitsu welcome several collaborators: dancer Amanda Reichert and poets Aaron Conley and Minton Sparks. Artist Lain York will create art on stage during the event, and Keshia Hay will end the event with food art! A video of Molly Barth produced by Continuous Motion Productions will receive its debut showing at the recital. Photographers Aaron Conley, Vesna Pavlovic, and LeXander Bryant will have works on display that have inspired Barth.
Conceived as “an exploration of community, human spirit, and compassion,” “Together We” is an outgrowth of Barth receiving a prestigious Chancellor Faculty Fellowship, enabling her to partner with inspirational colleagues worldwide, presenting concerts and creating recordings that showcase a thriving sense of humanity expressed through the arts.
